As mentioned in the first post about Mitt Romney, one of the most commonly-known facts about this candidate is that he was put in charge of the Winter Olympics in Utah. Mitt loves telling you all about it.

You see, before Mitt was put in charge of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, the whole thing was a pitiful mess. The event was hundreds of millions of dollars behind budget and corporate sponsors were jumping ship in the wake of a bribery scandal with the former CEO of the Games. Because of the financial troubles the Games would have to be reduced in scope, America would suffer embarrassment on a global scale, and future American Olympic bids would be in jeopardy. But that wasn’t the worst of it. As the elves were completing the finishing touches in preparation for the big night, a terrible fog was due to set in on the night Christmas Eve.
