Spitzer: The Sports Connection Super Stretch
Okay, so there is no way, at all you can connect Elliot Spitzer’s prostitution scandal to anything sports-related. I’ve tried every angle. No Yankees players have been accused of being Emperor’s Club VIP clients, Spitzer has not attended any football games recently, and the Spitzer was not the athletic type in his youth. He had a perfect LSAT score, though.
Anyways, the only link I’ve found connecting this hot, hot, hot political story to the world of sports is this one, right here. Apparently there is a seldom-used law called the “Best Kennedy Available Clause” which will decide the successor to the New York governorship on Monday when Spitzer resigns. Kidding, of course.
